Rutter has always been a community first company. It is one of our six core values and we truly understand that "we get what we give." Every year, Rutter donates a variety of professional services to non-profit organizations and community events. But giving back as a company is only part of the equation. Our people are the ones who really can make a difference for our clients and the community.
In 2001, we formalized this commitment by instituting our 100 and 10% Program. It charges every Rutter employee to give at least 100 hours of community service every year to whatever cause they wish to support. That could mean a non-profit, your school, your child's youth activity or your church…any outreach that betters the community.
It helps us understand, as individuals, the importance of giving our time and our talents back to the community. After all, what good is it to have talent and values if you don't share them for the greater good?
Then, as a company, Rutter pledges 10% of our company profits back to the community in cash donations to organizations like United Way, Big Brother Big Sisters, and dozens of local charities.
Our Rutter Charity Golf Classic has risen over $20,000 the past two years alone for the local United Way Campaign.
