Rutter Communications makes an impact with Muncie Mission "Walk a Mile in My Shoes"

MUNCIE, IN - March 13, 2007

Rutter Communications employees put their best foot forward in support of the Muncie Mission's 3rd annual "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" fundraiser. This year's event raised donations to purchase beds for the new Muncie Mission facility currently under construction. The event raised more than $27,000, an increase of 140% over the previous year.

Seven Rutter team members and their families were among the 484 walkers who braved sub-freezing temperatures to take part in the community event. The one- mile course began at the Horizon Convention Center and ended at the Mission's New Life Center/Attic Window facility.

In addition to the Rutter team members and their families who walked in the event (Brian McKay, Steve Schuler, Todd Merickel and Richard Crist), Rutter also provided leadership and organizational assistance. Rutter VP & COO Brent Close served as Chair of the event, VP & CFO Adlai Chester was treasurer, and Director of Communications Tom Simpson served as emcee.
