Rutter Media of Laconia, NH Makes an Impact at Children's Auction

MUNCIE, IN - December 19, 2007

The 25th Annual Children's Auction benefiting area youth agencies took place last week and Rutter Media was a large part of record-breaking success. Proceeds from the annual event benefit many worthwhile charities, including the Citizen Santa Fund, St. Vincent De Paul Children's Foundation, Laconia Boys and Girls Club, in addition to helping kids go to summer camp, back to school supplies, dental care and much more.

This year's Children's Auction began Monday, December 10th and continued through Saturday, December 15th at the Conference Center at the Lake Opechee Inn and Spa in Lakeport, NH. Last year's record total of $201,000 was eclipsed by a new record this year of $235,302, with $107,091 coming in on the last day alone.

From planning and preparation to directing and on-air talent, a number of Rutter Media team members worked to make the auction a success.

Warren Bailey, Director of Community and Business Development for Rutter founded the Auction 25 years ago and continued to play a large role in the event. Bailey was on-air 6 hours daily during the week and another 8 hours for the finale on Saturday. All tolled, Warren logged over 40 plus hours during the event and countless hours in preparation.

Other Rutter staff members also played key roles. Aaron Miller, Senior Producer, assisted with more than 30 hours of production services including commercials and off site promos prior to the start of the event. He also assisted by producing and directing at and camera work during the auction.

Also donating 30 hours was Mike Parmalee, Production Assistant, who recorded parts of the World Record cycling event and manned cameras, in addition to other activities.

Rutter Media Regional Manager Jim Adams continued his long-time involvement behind the camera, directing, delivery and pick-up of items, and event leadership.
