October 1, 2003

Rutter Media of Muncie partnered with the United Way and Comcast to implement a $45,000 campaign for the United Way of Delaware County. Rutter and Comcast each matched the $15,000 that the United Way designated for cable television advertising.

"We wanted to let the community know about the needs of the United Way," said Rutter general manager Tom Simpson, "Cable television is the perfect medium for reaching all members of the community."

Rutter also produced three United Way commercials. Each commercial catered to a different segment of the Delaware County population. The commercials emphasize the importance of giving to the United Way, and that donations are used to benefit people in the community. The commercials were shown on 19 different networks. Rutter aired the commercials from June 23 to September 28, 2003.
