Local Producer earns Emmy® Award nomination
Indianapolis, IN - July 2, 2007
Laurie Buschmann, a local producer employed by the film and video production company Ideavenue Productions has been nominated for a Regional Emmy® Award. Buschmann produced the nominated episode of Steel Horse while she worked for WISH-TV in Indianapolis.
"We knew Laurie was talented when she came to work for us in February," said Brien Richmond, general manager. "This Emmy nomination is further proof. We are excited for her to be recognized and look forward to the awards presentation in September."
Steel Horse is Indiana's only program produced for motorcycle riders and enthusiasts. Each week, charitable biking events and scenic destinations are highlighted. "In this episode, we're celebrating many victories," Laurie said. First, the hosts were on location at the home of the Indianapolis Indians, Victory Field. Then, they traveled to the Indy Victory and Triumph dealership to catch up with racecar driver Kyle Petty on a charity motorcycle ride in honor of his late son, Adam. They also caught up with the bikers taking part in the Victory Junction Gang Poker Run. "Other segments covered the latest biking gadgets and up-to-date calendar information, keeping bikers in the know and on the go to help their favorite charities," she said.
The episode is nominated in the Entertainment Program - Regularly Scheduled category. Winners will be announced at the Cleveland Regional Chapter Emmy Awards Gala September 8.
