Brent Close celebrates 5 years with Rutter Communications

Muncie, Indiana - January 11, 2005

From an outsider, this place looked exciting and new in August of 1998 when Close interviewed. He said he knew right then that he wanted to be part of this organization. "Coming off five plus years with the company, I now know that it wasn't the organization that I was craving but the fellowship and the ‘quest'. There are great people here, people that I count on as co-workers and more importantly friends. I truly value all those that I interact with," he shared.

Close also reminisced on a time when he came in and all he did was check bills and prepare reports. "Month in and month out for about 8 months I was a ‘fact' checker." That same reporting process takes less then a day to complete now. "But, the trust and responsibility beset me has grown 100 fold. This was not only an exciting place, but also an atmosphere that offered advancement," he said.

Close earned his bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis on marketing and sales management from Ball State University in 1995. Close is the Director of Operations now but began his career at Rutter as Network Services Manager in August 1998. He became Operations Manger in August 2000, and was then promoted to Director of Operations in December 2002.

Rutter Communications Network LLC is a multi-media company headquartered in Muncie, Indiana. Rutter has cable television advertising operations across the country. Rutter also operates multiple production divisions within Rutter Media offices and operates Ideavenue Film and Video Production out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
