Richard Crist named President of Rutter Communications Network

Muncie, IN - January 22, 2004

Rutter Communications Network, a television advertising firm specializing in local and regional cable with experience coast-to-coast, including video and film production, announced that Richard Crist has been named president of the company. Crist, a 14 year company veteran, was most recently vice president of sales and operations. Tom Rutter and Brad Benbow, co-founders of Rutter Communications, selected Crist because of his strong record of leadership. "Richard has successfully managed and motivated hundreds of people over the years," said Benbow. "He was a natural choice for the role of president."

Crist joined Rutter Communications in 1990 as an account executive. He was promoted to sales manager of the Muncie office in 1992. Crist moved to general manager one year later in 1993. He was named national sales manager for Rutter Media in 1997. He became vice president of Rutter Communications in May 1999.

Crist is a native of Muncie. He graduated from Taylor University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He serves on several community boards, including the Professional Selling Institute at Ball State University, the National Business Alumni Council at Taylor University and the Muncie Mission. Crist is the campaign co-chair for the YMCA "Invest in Youth" campaign. He is also a past president of the Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana.
