Rutter Media wins Silver ADDY
Muncie, IN - March 21, 2004
Rutter Media of Muncie won a silver ADDY for the "Kick the Can" public service campaign. Roleplayers, a community organization for after-school programs, sponsored "Kick the Can."
The campaign targeted kids, and explained the dangers of using smokeless tobacco. According to Roleplayers, reaching kids at an early age is important because most smokeless tobacco users start the habit at age 13. In one announcement, boys on a baseball field are seen kicking away a can of tobacco.
Tag West was the creative coordinator on the campaign. Larry Rader was the editor and videographer. "The Kick the Can campaign was challenging," said West, "but being on the baseball field was fun."
