2004 ADDY Award - First Merchants

Muncie, IN - March 21, 2004

Rutter Media of Muncie and First Merchants Bank won two ADDY Awards at the Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana (Ad Fed) awards banquet on Saturday, March 21, 2004. Rutter Media won a Best of Show ADDY in the "broadcast" category for their First Merchants Bank campaign. Rutter Media also won a gold ADDY in the "television local campaign" category for the First Merchants campaign.

Tag West was the creative coordinator on the First Merchants campaign. Larry Rader was the editor and videographer. "I'm very proud of the work we did," said Rader. "This was an outstanding campaign."

Rutter Media submitted three of the 12 commercials they produced for First Merchants. The first commercial featured pictures of the bank when it opened 110-years ago. The voice-over described how the bank began and where it is now. The second commercial focused on veterans who worked for the bank, going as far back as WWI. The third commercial portrayed bank employees throughout the years.
