Tom Simpson Celebrates Fifth Anniversary with Rutter

Tom Simpson, regional manager of Rutter Media in Muncie, Ind. recently celebrated his fifth anniversary with Rutter Communications Network, LLC.
Simpson joined Rutter in 2001 as business development manager and quickly moved into the role of general manager, overseeing Rutter's cable advertising operation, Rutter Media, in Muncie in 2003. He recently was named regional manager, responsible for Rutter Media offices in both Indiana and Pennsylvania.
"Tom is a true 'go-to' player," said Richard Crist, president of Rutter Communications Network. "He has a multitude of skills and is always ready to tackle any challenge. His leadership of our team in Muncie has resulted in greater service and better ideas for our clients."

Prior to joining Rutter, Tom worked in radio sales for eight years. He also owned his own advertising agency for several years. He is a graduate of Ball State University, with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications.
Simpson is extremely active in the community. He volunteers as part of Muncie Noon Optimist Club, United Way of Delaware County Campaign Cabinet, Cardinal Varsity Club, Teamwork for Quality Living, WIPB Telesale, Motivate Our Minds, YMCA Fund Drive, Ball Memorial Hospital Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana. He also serves on the Mt. Pleasant Township School Board.
He says that his enthusiasm for philanthropic work, flows in large part from the support he gets from Rutter and the commitment other staff and the company make to the community. "I'm proud to be a part of Rutter and the work we do," said Simpson.
In addition, Simpson is in his 21st season as the public address announcer for Ball State basketball. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing golf and reading. He and his family attend Union Chapel Ministries in Muncie.
Rutter Communications is a privately held, multi-media company headquartered in Muncie, Ind. with interests in television-advertising representation, film and video production, Internet marketing and information-technology support. Rutter operates three distinct divisions, including Rutter Media, Ideavenue and Fusework Studios.
