Rutter Communications honors Tom Simpson
Muncie, Indiana - January 11, 2005
Tom Simpson, General Manager of Rutter Media in Muncie received two awards at Rutter's annual awards banquet. Rutter presented Simpson, with his first Platinum Billing Award. With this award Rutter was proud to recognize Tom Simpson for his leadership and outstanding level of achievement.
Simpson also received the 2004 Community Service Award. Giving back to the community with our time, talent and resources is a Rutter core value and the reason for the establishment of this award many years ago. The award recognizes the individual who more than anyone else exemplifies this core value. "Tom is a tireless advocate for our community and his influence and leadership come from a genuine desire to see the needs of our community be met," commented Richard Crist, Rutter Communications President. The recipient of the Rutter Community Service Award has the opportunity to designate a $3,000 donation to his or her charity of choice. Simpson directed the donation to Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Delaware County where he is a member of the board of directors.
Tom Simpson is General Manager of Rutter Media of Muncie. He began his career at Rutter in March 2001 as New Business Development Manager. In May 2003 he became GM of Muncie. Simpson graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications. He is a member of the Muncie Noon Optimist Club, United Way Campaign Cabinet, Cardinal Varsity Club, Teamwork for Quality Living, WIPB Telesale, Motivate Our Minds, YMCA Fund Drive, BMH Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
